Yowani Bowls’ Newsletter
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL YOWANI MEN…
Pennant Season for you commences on Sunday, 2nd February and finishes on 19th April (Grand Final – let’s think positive).
The Committee has indicated to Bowls ACT that we plan to enter three grades, including a Grade 1.
That will require a minimum of 42 players being available to play during the season. – 36 every week, 12 per Grade, plus reserves.
Grade 5 is for newer bowlers, particularly those wanting a bit of competition, a chance to develop and improve bowling skills and meet bowlers from the other clubs in ACT.
Please put your name on the sheet ASAP so the selectors can get teams sorted.

VALE IAN VIRTUE
We extend to Ian’s family and friends our deepest sympathy. He was one of Nature’s Gentlemen, a great asset to our club on the green and as a hard-working committee man.
Sadly, his illness claimed him far too soon. RIP.
The final event on this year’s calendar – 14 December.
Bowls at 10am, followed by lunch and presentation to all the prize winners.
The Open OBE will be a feature event on the day. All those men and women who have made it to 80 are invited (and encouraged) to play.
Bowls and lunch will be $40. Lunch only $30.
Let’s make it a real celebration of surviving another year above the grass.
